Easter in Photos

Matt's class ready for the egg hunt. I'm kind of surprised that we can still do this in public school...

He is obviously happy about something he found.

Church egg hunt for 3 to kinder. Our church had three hunts for a total of 3,500 stuffed plastic eggs!!!

Matt checking out his goodies under Grandma's watchful eye. I think she was looking for something she might like to eat.

That's my boy!! He might be afraid of dark rides, but not of heights!!

The only picture of him in his Easter outfit. He's getting his basket.

Thanks to my friend Shelley for his snazzy outfit. She blessed us with a bunch of snazzy clothes her little (or I should say big) guy has out grown.

Neighbor egg hunt.
They had 300 eggs to hunt!!! When they first started hunting the kids were being very selective about which eggs they picked up because they thought they could only get 10. Once they realized the sky was the limit, they went bananas!

Every night during the week of Easter we did a devotion. At the end of each devotion, we would blow out a candle until all was dark on Good Friday. After the reading on Easter Sunday, we lit all of the candles. Matt loved doing this devotion and I think the candles really helped him understand.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
