Richard brought home his work computer. Woo-Hoo!!! I am having severe Internet withdrawal and miss blogging. I don't think you realize how dependent you are on the Internet until you do not have it. I will catch myself having random thoughts or questions about things and think oh, I'll go and look that up. Then reality settles in and I realize I will have to remain dumb and clueless for awhile longer. Dang technology.
Speaking of technology, our computer has officially crashed. We took it to the computer gurus in our school district and they pronounced it dead. Sooo....we have to buy a new laptop. Apparently, 3-4 years is the life span of a $1,000 investment. We had a Compaq but now we are looking at Dells. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
About the weekend. It was fabulous. Since I do not have a personal computer, I will not be posting pictures for awhile. Sorry. Most of my family was here: Grandma, Nana, Papaw, and Uncle Earnie. Aunt Kim couldn't make it because she is "great with child".
Matt had his early birthday party Sunday; he had a train party complete with a homemade cardboard train game and train cake. The cardboard train was pretty funny. It consisted of 3 cardboard boxed spray pained silver and decorated with birthday decor. My family affectionately called it the "white trash train". The cake was two large round cakes iced and decorated to look like a green field with a figure 8 track. I bought a birthday themed Tomas to place on top. I baked and iced the cake Saturday night but for some stupid reason decided to make the tracks Sunday morning before church. I was originally going to use red Twizzlers but that was a disaster. Instead, I piped frosting but got into a dilemma when I was finishing the tracks. Lucky me, I had five helpers standing around the table telling me what to do. I was about ready to ice all of them. However, it did turn out cute.
Anyways, the weekend was great. I am so thankful that God has blessed me, Richard, and Matt with wonderful friends and family. We are truly rich.

I'm sooo glad you are back!!!! Hope to see some pics soon!
Thank goodness for Richard. I don't how I will get by without your blog. The party was pretty cool. No matter, the silver train was a great hit. The cake was delicious, very colorful and cute. Thank you for appreciating our help, although the situation was getting a little tense while you tried to decide who to hit first. A good time was had by all.
