Lately, Matt has been asking a lot of questions. When I say questions, I mean BIG questions. The other morning over breakfast he asked me how God created himself. Would you like my response?
"Uhhh...He just did Matt because He is all powerful and mighty." mumble, mumble, mumble "Let's ask Dad when he gets home."
Then he asked me if God wrote the Bible with a feather pen because it is so old. When he asked me that I had to stifle my laughter. (Side note: he is very VERY sensitive to people laughing at him. SENSITIVE!) I'm guessing they are talking about feather pens at school because I have no idea where that came from.
After Matt and I had a few more conversations about Jesus , including Jesus living in his heart, I decided it was time for me to get some advice so I talked with our pastor. Matt will be 5 next week and I sure don't want to push him into any kind of decision but I do not want to suppress it either.
Like I told our pastor, I think this is the most frightening aspect of parenting because you don't want to mess this one up. Anyone else agree?

I agree!!! I'm so scared that I'm going to push her and that it wont be sincer. But then I'm worried that I'm not takeing her seriously. It also concerns me that she "knows" the answers, but its not in her heart... know what I mean? But God is working on me. As long as I stay close to Him, I won't be able to mess up what He is doing for my little ones!!
What did your pastor say? We are in the same spot over here!
You don't remember when you had your heart surgery you ask if the doctors saw Jesus in your heart and worried he got out when they had your heart open. yes, i had told you Jesus lives in our hearts.
