Says it All

On Matt's "real" birthday, we went to a local boardwalk with some friends to celebrate. One of the rides we went on with the kids was a "kiddie" drop ride. Let me stop and say "WOW!" This was no "kiddie" ride. I thought my stomach was going to come out.

The ride was one of those that would drop, go back up and drop again. It was hysterical because I was screaming worse then the kids; they LOVED it. Actually, they rode it twice!

My friend Danielle took some pics fro me and once I saw them I burst out laughing for more then one reason.

First, the pictures are hilarious. The expressions on mine and the kids' faces compared to Richard's is priceless. It looks like Richard is not even on the ride because he is so calm.

Then I look again and see "us". I am the one freaking out and panicking; he is Mr. Joe Cool and laid back. From the moment we are walking up to the ride I am asking the operator questions, trying to stagger the kids between adults, and worrying about them puking. He is all "dude, chill out and enjoy the ride!"
I see these pictures and am blown away. This is how we are - I am all wound up and Richard is chilled out. We do have rare moments where the roles are reversed but for the most part, this is us.
