Introducing "Heavy B"
I would like to introduce my nephew Brody Kyle, otherwise known as "Heavy B".
You can't tell from the picture but he is a cute little butterball! We had such a good time with the Yoes Saturday. This is the great thing about living here; we are an hour away from Richard's family. Richard's parents stopped by on their way home from the airport and Kim and Ryan drove out for the day.
While Kim and Ryan were here we hung out and ate some great seafood. Matthew also ratted on himself to his aunt and uncle. He told them that "I tell my mama no sometimes". He also asked Uncle Ryan who made his truck and when Uncle Ryan said Chevy, Matt said "I don't like Chevrolet."
Anyways, Matt was very cute during the visit. Here are some more pics.

Friends!!
The Rettigs are on their way!! Woo-Hoo! We are having guests!
Matt has asked me the past 2 days is Leah here yet? I hear Leah....I think Leah is here.
If you can't tell, we are very excited.
By the way, Kim, Ryan, and baby Brody came and visted on Saturday. We had a great time and I will post pics soon.

Found!
I forgot to mention that Rascal came back home!
I left her out in the backyard the second night and she escaped. We called, drove, and walked all the next day looking for her. I felt like such a lump because I was the one who put her out. I was convinced she was walking back to Brenham (cats have been known to travel incredible distances to their old home). However, she was back on the porch the next morning.
Her life is pretty good now. She doesn't have to worry about our old cat Max attacking her and eating all of her food. She lounges around all day inside and goes out when we are out. Her only problem is Matt; I think he is driving her up a wall.

Before and After
We are still unpacking and "fixing up"; I think we will be "fixing up" for awhile. Richard and I have officially decided that we love the house and neighborhood. We have soooo much space and sooo many trees. All I can say about the kitchen is that I LOVE IT! Last night we had five adults and a child all standing in our kitchen at the same time. It was fabulous. So here are some pics of us moving in and what some of the rooms look like now. The only room we have painted is our master. We still need to paint the living, foyer, and the green room. I can't decide on the dining, tell me what you think. Anyways enjoy and I miss my Brenham family like crazy!

We made it!
We made it and are alive...barely. I am so exhausted that I cannot even describe how I feel. I had no idea that moving is so physically exhausting. My body and feet hurt so bad!!! I have been on a regular dosage of Aleve for the past 72 hours.
Anyways, enough whining. We are doing well; slowly making our way through the boxes and setting things up. Since I am so tired I will give you a brief list of highlights.

- We have lost Rascal. She wondered off last night. This is my fault and please pray she comes home.
- We have cable!! I have been getting my fix of the food network after not having it for a year.
- We took a bath last night in our giant tub.
- The Wal-Mart here is better than Brenham's.
- So far the neighbors are nice and one invited us to their small group on Sunday night.
- Matt is at Nana and Pawpaw's with strep throat. He went to the Dr. this morning and is doing better.
- Matt asked if we could roast marshmallows in our fireplace on Wed.
- We have already encountered a door-to-door salesman.
- Our new fridge rocks.
- We have a phone (email me if you want the number).
- We have a purple master bedroom, lime green guest room, rope for crown moulding in the dining room, and frosted acrylic knobs in the kitchen. This will all change.
- It took me five hours to set up Matt's room.
- I have never been so unfocused/distracted in my life.
- My husband has been amazing.
- Did I mention how bad my feet hurt?
- I saw a brown snake slither into a "weep" hole in our house.
- Walked down to the bayou tonight to look for Rascal. It is beautiful.
- Haven't seen any nutria rats yet.
- Haven't figured out if our carpet is blue or grey.
- Discovered we have a cool kitchen faucet. The kind you can pull out and make a sprayer.
Well that's it for now. Thanks for all the awesome comments and sweet posts.

This is it!
Well, this is it. Today is our last full day in Mayberry. ( That is what I like to call our town because it's like a the real life version: parades, festivals, and public police reports). I am sad but am ready to hit the road. Our house is almost loaded on the U-Haul. We owe the talented and strong Jeff Freeman a huge thanks for helping load!!! At the moment everyone is passed out napping and I should be packing and cleaning the "leftovers" but instead I am here on the Internet.
I want to give all of you who contributed to the cook book a huge thanks!! I love it and of course cried a river when Karla gave it to me. If you haven't had a chance to give a recipe, email one to me. Karla, you are a smart girl! I cannot think of a more perfect gift.
For those of you who were at the party, there is even a recipe titled Chester's Picnic Dogs with a photo (he was a guy who crashed the party and helped himself to thirds and fourths). I wish all of you could see this book because it is wonderful. Needless to say, I love it and all of your sweet comments in it.
Well, I am going to keep this post short and sweet. I need to go and do some work before the munchkin wakes up.
