Check This Out
Yes, I am posting on Saturday!! Not to mention my third post in a row!
Weather wise the day is pretty gloomy here. Since it is Saturday and it is raining, I am lying on my floor doing nothing productive. Oh wait! I am doing one thing: consuming Girl Scout Thin Mints at a very alarming rate. Anyways, while in the middle of surfing all of my favorite new blogs and I found this cool blog. For all my cheap peeps, this one's for you!! I even found a list of printable Target coupons. How cool is that!?!
As an added bonus, here is a recent picture of the world's cutest kid.
For the record, I just demolished half a roll of Thin Mints. Oops..

Why Not
Here is a piece of conversation from our drive home yesterday:
Me - Hey Matt, look at that fire!
Matt - Where?
Me - Over there.
Matt - Where?!
Me - (tapping on the windshield in the right direction) over THERE!
Matt - WHERE?!?!
Me - thinking to myself, why did I even point this out...
Matt - OH! There!!
Me - Do you see it?
Matt - Yeah, I think it must be a volcano. They have smoke.
Of course they do. No wonder so many kids confuse a brush fire with a volcano.
I hope this brought a smile to your day :)

World's Worst Blogger
I know. You don't have to tell me. I will say it:
Hello, my name is Aleesa and I am the world's worst blogger!
Sorry guys. For the record, I think all 5 of you who read this blog, except my mom, are on facebook and I tend to get obsessed with that. Sorry mom :) I think I might need to start setting a facebook timer and after five hours, turn it off. Ha!
Our life right now is not much different than what it was a few weeks ago. Matt is enjoying school, except now he likes to act all sad when I leave. I think that is for my benefit. We have been on two trips ALONE: New Orleans and San Antonio. If you are on fb, then you have seen the pictures. I will post some pics on here in the upcoming days from both trips. Finally, we are still making hurricane repairs. Fun. Fun. Fun.
Other then that, not much else happening. However, I do have a tip: do not watch the news. It's pretty depressing and it sounds like we will all be living in a cardboard box soon. So on that note, have a great day!!

Preschool with a Dr. twist
After Matt's gymnastics class ended, we made the decision to try to enroll him in preschool. After calling around, we finally found one that a couple of his friends attended. We toured it a few weeks ago and I think Matt would have stayed that day if I would have let him!
He started on Monday and has loved it! His teachers seem to be very sweet and loving. It's like a tag team of mom and grandma (one is young and the other is old). The most exciting thing for Matt has been his name box. This is his box with his own scissors (always stated first when asked what is inside), glue, and crayons. Another exciting thing is the new meal-time prayer he learned. In case you didn't know, this is big stuff to a three year old.
One not so great thing we had to do this week was go to a new pediatrician. It is an understatement to say that Matt was a little less then thrilled about this event. He had a great pedi back home so the new guy had a lot to live up to. Before we ever got to the office Matt was already saying he did not like this doctor and he was going to be bad! He did OK until the Dr. wanted to look in his ears. Upon hearing that, Matt went into "hair cutting" mode: shrieking, wriggling, and crying. I have never had to restrain my son to get his ears checked so that was a new one.
I like to think that was Matt's way of saying "hey dude, I don't know you and see, I don't trust you." Who knows...But I do know one thing, I am not looking forward to next month, SHOTS!!
