Today we were listening to Veggie Tales on the way home from school. Actually, when are we NOT listening to Veggie Tales?? Some songs I love, but the cheeseburger song, don't get me started.
Larry Boy was blaring in the back and Matt was rocking out. When the next song, Lean On Me, came on, Matt got very serious. He looked at me and said "Mommy! You hear this? This is a JESUS song. The other was just a song. But THIS... is a JESUS song."
It took everything I had not to bust out laughing because he sounded like a little Southern Baptist preacher with the emphasis and pause. I'm not sure if I ever thought of Lean On Me as a "Jesus" song but I do now.
